Pricing
We are living through some very strange times, and Ford seems to have lost interest in selling Mach-Es for the moment. The order books are closed and the prices have been ramped up. The former is temporary, but the latter probably won't be. It means the starting price has risen £7,500 to £50,030, making the Mach E uncomfortably close to premium players, though the Mach E’s excellent potential range is a good trade-off for the lack of a recognised premium badge on its lengthy bonnet.
Running Costs
Topping up that battery will be no more expensive than any of its rivals, while the 2% BIK, allied to the Mach E’s useful range means it’ll make a lot of sense to business users. Residual values are likely to be strong, too, while the insurance groupings are in line with what we’d expect. Ford offers a serving plan that allows monthly payments to spread the cost, though the warranty isn’t as generous as some rivals, notably from Kia and Hyundai, so if you’re buying privately, and intend on keeping it for more than three years, you might want to take that into consideration.
