Ginny Says

“For decades the BMW 3-Series has been the first choice for company car drivers who like driving and want to keep their tax bill low. The i4 is set to be their new top choice.”

Tom Says

“A BMW with pure electric and proper range? Check. Looks utterly unassuming? Check. Fun to drive? Check. This one is interesting from the makers of the Ultimate Driving Machine.”

Is the BMW i4 fully electric or a plug-in hybrid?

It's fully electric. If you'd like a plug-in hybrid, BMW will happily steer you towards the 330e.

Does the i4 M50 replace the petrol M3 and M4?

No, you'll still be able to buy M cars with petrol engines. But the electric versions are faster so you might not want one any more.

What is the range of the BMW i4?

The fully charged range of the i4 is an impressive 367 miles, for the 'standard' car or 316 for the M50. It's no coincidence that it beats the Tesla Model 3's totals.

How much does the BMW i4 cost?

The starting price of the i4 is £51,905, while the M50 version will set you back £63,905. Cheaper versions are expected to arrive later.

Is the BMW i4 better than a Tesla?

Until we get them together we won't know for sure, but the BMW has an advantage in a lot of areas on paper and is good to drive.
