Founded in 1919, Citroen is part of the Stellantis group – a large car company formed from the amalgamation of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Groupe PSA in 2020. In recent years, Citroen has positioned itself away from its sister brand Peugeot and others by focussing on building cars with quirky designs, reliable engines and good technology in a value-for-money package featuring comfortable suspension and interiors. Its range of cars spans the Citroen C1 city car to the Grand C4 SpaceTourer and SpaceTourer MPVs. Citroen also has a strong line-up of electric models with a plug-in hybrid C5 Aircross, and pure-electric e-C4, e-Spacetourer and e-Berlingo. The Citroen Ami is a clever electric city car that’s currently unconfirmed for sale in the UK, sadly – although we’re hopeful Citroen could change its mind and make it available by 2022.
