Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has swapped his series of supercars for a humble Nissan Leaf. The pioneering football boss has been called the most innovative manager in world, and is known for trying new tactics and ground breaking formations.

He has been given the car as part of a deal with Nissan, but it could be just as well - Pep doesn't seem to have the same skills on the road as he does on the sidelines. According to a newspaper report he's damaged a series of expensive cars, including putting petrol in a diesel Range Rover.

He will have no such problems with the Leaf. As Pep explained: “Like with my football tactics, no situation or opponent is the same and I believe innovation is important to keep pace with the changing times. One of the main reasons for choosing an EV was to reduce my impact on the environment.

"I am proud of fully embracing electric mobility with the Leaf as my daily car, because for me driving an electric car is a responsible choice. I am happy to see the younger generation are well aware of the environmental challenges and most of the time they are encouraging others to adopt new forms of mobility like electric.”
