Nissan has confirmed that the LEAF will be updated with a refreshed look and more advanced technology. This will include new alloy wheels, updated colour options and advanced driver assistance systems.
Nissan says the updated looks provide the LEAF with a more dynamic aesthetic that aligns better with the new brand identity. In short, the LEAF has got a little bit cooler.
The new 16 inch and 17 inch alloy wheel options have a slick, black front and sport the new brand logo, which is also on the front grille and at the rear. Alongside those wheels there will be an enhanced line-up of exterior colour options, including Pearl Blue and Magnetic blue, both seen on Qashqai and Ariya models.
On the inside, Nissan are giving the LEAF a suite of advanced driving assistance features, like ProPILOT. This will allow the LEAF to automatically stop, start and maintain a safe distance to the vehicle in front, whilst single pedal driving is retained. There are two battery options, with the larger delivering up to 239 miles of range.
The infotainment system keeps the NissanConnect system and features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, but also includes remote operation features, like climate control, through the mobile App. You can even link your LEAF to your Alexa, so you can just tell your car to get ready for your imminent departure. This is the future. In fact, the future for Nissan is a fully electrified line-up just after the summer.
It will be available to order from 1st March 2022 in the UK and will start at £26,995.
