Honda has announced that it will build a special version of its award-winning e supermini, which in keeping with its minimalist design is called simply Limited Edition. Just 50 examples will be built for the European market.
At a starting price of £38,120 - which is £1,200 more than the Advanced Grade model it’s based upon - the Honda-E Limited Edition features a host of new cosmetic upgrades headlined by an exclusive Premium Crystal Red paint and 17-inch gloss black alloys. The makeover also features black badges and accents that complement the black roof.
As the changes are purely aesthetic, the technical specifications remain the same as the standard Advanced Grade version. That means a 35.5kWh battery which provides 137 miles of WLTP range and takes around 35 minutes to charge to 80% from a 50kW rapid charge. Its 151bhp motor can propel the e from 0-62mph in 8.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 90mph.
The Limited Edition E has also been endorsed by reigning Formula One World Champion Max Verstappen, who took the car for a spin before the Emilia-Romagna leg of the 2022 World Championship. Honda supplies engines to the Red Bull Formula One team for whom the Dutchman drives.
