Genesis has previewed the styling of its new electric models with a striking concept car, called the X Speedium Coupe.
The big coupe, named after a Korean racetrack, was created as part of a “freestyle” design exercise, and is based on the Genesis X Concept led by Genesis Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke.“This car is an open-door moment in Genesis’ journey towards our future EV design,” said Luc Donckerwolke. “This isn’t a show car - it’s a look into our design processes as we explore ideas for the next wave of EVs.”
On the front of the car, the twin strip headlamps have evolved into to cover the full width of the car. This ‘face’ is expected to be used on all of Genesis’ six electric cars which are due to be launched by 2030.
The concept’s metallic emerald green shade is referred to as “Inje Green”, and supposedly “encompasses the mountainous landscape” where the Speedium race track is located.
There is no word on production of the X Speedium Coupe, but expect something similar with similar looks to reach showrooms.
