Jersey Electricity and charger company Ohme have joined together to offer a new monthly charging subscription to help spread the cost of a home wall box on the channel island. If successful, Ohme is expected to partner with other energy suppliers on the mainland of the UK too.
Called Easycharge, the scheme means Jersey Electricity will offer drivers a bundled subscription that will give home charging plus an Ohme Home Pro charger from £30 a month.
The subscription packages offer customers a charger with a lifetime warranty, access to the Ohme smart charging app, full installation, ongoing customer support and inclusive overnight charging.
The three tariffs on offer with Easycharge will provide an all-inclusive package lasting for three years on a rolling subscription. The entry Easycharge tariff starts at £30 per month for 1,500kWh (estimated to be good to go 6,000 miles per year), rising to Easycharge Plus at £45 per month for 3,000kWh (12,000m/year) and then to the Easycharge Unlimited tariff at £85 per month.
