Has the SEAT Mii Electric gone out of production?
There are a lot of rumours about this, but SEAT has assured us it hasn't. There are certainly cars available - we called and asked dealers if they could find us one and found several offered for immediate delivery.
What's the real range of the SEAT Mii Electric?
Officially it's 160 miles - and that's been pretty realistic in our experience. We once saw 209 miles indicated after a traffic-laden journey around the M25. Electric cars are more efficient in traffic and at lower speeds.
Can you rapid charge a SEAT Mii Electric?
Yes - CCS rapid charging is standard but it can charge at a maximum rate of 40kW. It will go from 20-80% in an about an hour.
Is the SEAT Mii Electric cheap to insure?
It’s in group 11, which is a little higher than the petrol powered versions, mainly because it is faster and more expensive. It still won't be too expensive though unless you are a new or young driver.
Is the SEAT Mii Electric a safe car?
The basic body shell of the Mii is comparatively old, but it still got reasonable scores for protection in independent tests. Where it falls down is on a lack of safety prevention tech, although Lane Assist, which uses a camera to warn if you are straying across white lines, is standard.
