Is the Captur a plug-in hybrid or pure electric?
It’s a PHEV. Unlike the smaller Clio and Zoe, the Captur has a small battery and can be plugged in to give around 30 miles of electric-only driving.
Is the Captur PHEV a good company car?
The low benefit-in-kind tax rate of just 10% compared to 26-30% for the petrol and diesel models means savings of thousands every year for business drivers. Consider a pure EV too though if you can – they have 0% BIK this year.
Is the Captur E-Tech worth the extra money?
The extra cost will be worth spending if you are going to reap the rewards of plugging the car in and saving on fuel. We haven’t yet seen what the finance deals will be like yet though, so you’ll need to do some careful sums to see if the PHEV is worth the extra for you as a private motorist.
Is the luggage space smaller in the Captur PHEV?
Yes, slightly. The PHEV powertrain does nick a bit of the luggage room, as a petrol Captur has 429 litres compared to the E-Tech’s 379.
Is the Captur PHEV powertrain the same as the Clio and Megane?
It’s exactly the same as the Megane, and very similar to the Clio. The smaller car has a tiny battery and no plug-in option though – it is just a hybrid.
