The Cross Turismo will appeal to those who want the Taycan saloon's performance but need greater practicality. The SUV styling additions might not appeal to everyone though.

Ginny Says

“The Taycan is one of my all time favourite cars. It is brutally fast and yet comfortable and easy to live with. My only real criticism was that it's a saloon and therefore not very practical. The Cross Turismo solves that problem too.”

Nicki Says

“I love everything about the Taycan, and not just because it's fast. The technology underneath that sleek body really does move the game on in terms of charging speeds and efficiency. The Cross Turismo adds practicality too - but I'm not sure the SUV-alike cladding is really needed.”

Is the Porsche Taycan a sports car?

The Taycan is a four-door electric saloon while the Taycan Cross Turismo is a five-door estate, but Porsche has worked hard on making the Taycan more thrilling to drive than rivals' offerings. It isn't a sports car in the traditional sense, but it is as sporting as electric cars currently come.

Is the Porsche Taycan reliable?

We haven't heard of any horror stories with the Taycan, and in truth it's a little too new for it to appear in reliability surveys. With Porsche's rich history of engineering, there's no reason to be worried at this stage.

Is the Porsche Taycan selling well?

Porsche says it has sold 20,000 Taycans worldwide since launching it last year which is pretty good going. There's no doubt the Cross Turismo will add to that figure substantially on account of its greater practicality.

How fast does the Porsche Taycan charge?

With a 7kW home wallbox a full charge takes around 14 hours, while a top-up from a 50kW fast charger takes up to 100 minutes. Plug in to a 150kW charger and the charging time slashes to 30 minutes.
