Is the C5 X an SUV?
It's not really. Think of it as a slightly taller hatchback, or overgrown e-C4
Is the C5 X fully electric?
No, it's just a PHEV, with an electric-only range of 34 miles.
Big Citroens usually have disastrous resale values. Will the C5 X be any different?
Well, it's possible that it might actually be OK - sort of. Citroen bosses say they have worked hard to fix the reasons that Citroens don't hold their value well, starting with getting the prices right in the first place rather than offering big discounts after the launch. They are also promising to stop selling cars at knock-down prices to rental firms who shift them after a few months and make buying a new one pointless. As a result, the values - as predicted by independent experts - are actully higher than cars like the Volkswagen Arteon. That's not to say it's a blue-chip investment though - expect the car to be worth just 42% of its original price after three years and 30,000 miles.
Is the Citroen C5 X a good company car?
It's not the worst - but not the best either. It attracts a BIK rate of 12% of 2022-25. A 40% tax payer would be £300 better off per year choosing a car like the Toyota RAV4 PHEV instead.
is the Citroen C5 X four wheel drive?
No - despite the chunky looks, it is front-wheel-drive only
