Famous for its sports cars like the E-type and its Mk2 and XJ6 saloon cars, Jaguar’s history is an illustrious one. It has two plug-in hybrid SUVs in the form of the E-Pace P300e and F-Pace P400e, but Jaguar beat rivals Audi and Mercedes by bringing out the first electric SUV – the I-Pace in 2018. The I-Pace has won numerous awards, is an Electrifying.com favourite and one of the best premium electric cars on sale. Jaguar had planned to follow up the I-Pace with the pure-electric XJ in 2021 which would have rivalled the Tesla Model S. However, under a new future plan, the electric XJ was scrapped and Jaguar made a bold pledge to be an all-electric brand from 2025.
